Genesis 31:24 (ESV)

God has ways to protect his followers beyond anything they could ever do. Laban was angry at Jacob for taking his cattle and daughters and leaving the country. Laban had been chasing Jacob (who was obeying God) for three days and Jacob thought his family and assets were in great danger. "But God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream by night and said to him 'Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad'" Genesis 31:24 (ESV). God sometimes protects us in ways we cannot even imagine; he has the ability to enter the mind of our most determined enemy and change what they think and what they want to do. Lord, in times of conflict remind me that if I act as you direct me that you will take care of me in ways I cannot imagine.
