Genesis 39:1-2 (ESV)

God does what appears to be little things, but they turn out to be big. "Now Joseph had been brought down to Egypt, and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, had bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. The LORD was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master" Genesis 39:1-2 (ESV). God was with Joseph, and the result was he was placed in the home of a very influential man, and God made him a successful slave. Neither of these would seem particularly important, but it was the beginning of a great life. Lord, there are many things I have no control over, but if you are with me, my life will achieve your purpose. When things are not working as I think they should, remind me that I have given you my life and you are with me too.
