Genesis 41:12-13(ESV)

God had given Joseph the interpretation of a dream that Pharaoh's cupbearer had while in prison and Joseph asked the cupbearer to tell Pharaoh about Joseph's unjust prison sentence, but the cupbearer did nothing. It was two years later that Pharaoh had a dream and no one could interpret it, and the cupbearer told Pharaoh what Joseph had done for him. "A young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. When we told him, he interpreted our dreams to us, giving an interpretation to each man according to his dream. And as he interpreted to us, so it came about" Genesis 41:12-13 (ESV). Sometimes we think God has forgotten us when he is hard at work creating the exact situation that we need. Lord, give me more faith in your promises than in what I can see with my eyes.

"Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit" Acts 8:15-7 (God's Word). Lord, I ask that your Holy Spirit guide me in all that I think and do.

Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
