Exodus 14:15-16 (ESV)

The people of Israel were angry because they had escaped slavery, but now the entire Egyptian army was baring down on them, and they thought they would die. "The LORD said to Moses, 'Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground'" Exodus 14:15-16 (ESV). God guided the people of Israel to this spot with a sea ahead of them, and he knew that the Egyptians had a change of heart and were going to come after them. Sometimes God leads us into difficult and even dangerous situations to show us his power to rescue us so that in our future we will have faith in him. Lord, help me to not get upset or angry when I am obeying you and I get into situations that seem disastrous, but to continue to trust that your wisdom and power will save me.
