Exodus 14:13-14 (ESV)

The Egyptians had a change of heart and they set out to bring the Israelites back to slavery. The entire army of the greatest army in the world at that time was within sight of the Israelites. "And Moses said to the people, 'Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent'" Exodus 14:13-14 (ESV). It is really hard to be silent when someone hurts me or offends me and to "turn the other cheek" instead of trying to get even or defend myself. Lord, give me the faith in you to allow you to fight my battles for me that I might experience your salvation instead of my conflict.
