Leviticus 24:17-19 (ESV)

God made every person and tells us how we must treat each other: "Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death. Whoever takes an animal's life shall make it good, life for life. If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done, it shall be done to him" Leviticus 24:17-19 (ESV). Every person is made by God, and when you take that life, you forfeit your own. Every animal that you own is given to you by God, so if someone kills what God has given you, then you must replace it. If someone injures you, then you cannot do worse to him than he has done to you. Lord, thank you for reminding me that every person and everything in this world belongs to you. May I see each person I relate to today as precious to you, and may I treat each one as your child by creation.
