Leviticus 25:20-21 (ESV)

God understands our needs, and he provides. Every 7th year the people of Israel were not to plant crops, but have a Sabbath year. "And if you say, 'What shall we eat in the seventh year, if we may not sow or gather in our crop? I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, so that it will produce a crop sufficient for three years'" Leviticus 25:20-1 (ESV). God's provision required management. If they sold the excess crop of the sixth year, they would have nothing for the 7th year. If the follower of Christ doesn't have enough money to give to God what he has told them to give, they must first look at their management of what God has given them. Lord, give me direction in how to use the resources you have given to me, both time and money.
