Numbers 11:1-2 (ESV)

The Israelites had been set free from slavery for two years: "And the people complained in the hearing of the LORD about their misfortunes, and when the LORD heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of the LORD burned among them and consumed some outlying parts of the camp. Then the people cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the LORD, and the fire died down" Numbers 11: 1-2 (ESV). When we have surrendered our lives to God's control and we complain about what has happened to us, we are insulting God. We are telling God that our judgment is better than his, and it is blasphemy. Lord, I know that you have not promised that everything that happens to me will be good, but you have promised that in all the things that happen, if I obey you, that you will bring good out of it. This promise always encourages me.
