Jeremiah 47:4 (God's Word)

God has been working since people first rejected his plan for the world to restore that plan. His plan is for a world of peace and harmony lived by his original instructions. God is kind, loving, forgiving and patient, but when a person or group is a threat to destroy his plan, he must remove them for the good of all other people. The future of the world depends on his plan succeeding, so he will do what it takes. He said: "The time has come to destroy all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Sidon any Philistine who might have escaped to get help. The LORD will destroy the Philistines and anyone who is left from the Island of Crete" Jeremiah 47:4 (God's Word). Lord, I do not want to stand in your way of achieving your purpose, but to give my life to serve you.

"Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit" Acts 8:15-7 (God's Word). Lord, I ask that your Holy Spirit guide me in all that I think and do.

Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
