Ezekiel 30:7-8 (God's Word)

Because Egypt was trying to destroy God's people he said: “Egypt will become the most desolate country in the world, and Egypt's cities will lie in ruins. They will be ruined more than other cities. Then they will know that I am the LORD,..." Ezekiel 30:7-8 (God's Word). In the 50's-70's the world feared the U.S.S.R. who outlawed Christianity, confiscating church buildings in their land, and it seemed as if they might take over the world. People in the U.S. were building home shelters for fear of atomic attacks and schools held practice as what to do in case of atomic attack from the U.S.S.R. Today U.S.S.R. does not exist and in Russia churches are open and thriving. God rules the world!  Lord, how amazing and powerful you are! Without any army or war you control the world.

Acts 8: 15-17 (God's Word) Originally published 12/27/2013 The apostles realized the Holy Spirit was essential for the Samaritans to live in obedience to Christ. "Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit" Acts 8:15-7 (God's Word). Lord, I ask that your Holy Spirit guide me in all that I think and do.

Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
