Ezekiel 9:19 (God's Word)

Matthew 7:12 is a great guide for relationships: "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets" (NIV). But I never before noticed that how we treat people will also be the basis of our judgment from God. God told Ezekiel that the land of Israel was filled with murder and wrongdoing. Then he said: "But I will not have compassion or feel sorry. I will do to them what they have done to others" Ezekiel 9:10 (God's Word). This could explain some of the stuff that happens to us. Lord, help me to treat people the way you have treated me.

Acts 8: 15-17 (God's Word) Originally published 12/27/2013 The apostles realized the Holy Spirit was essential for the Samaritans to live in obedience to Christ. "Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit" Acts 8:15-7 (God's Word). Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
