Daniel 4:37 (God's Word)

Nebuchadnezzar was the most powerful king in the area. He had a dream that he thought was a message, but he could not tell what the message was so he called on Daniel who he knew had a connection with God. Daniel told him that God was telling him that he would lose his mental capacities for a period of time; then it would be restored. The king was walking around one day looking at all he had built and thinking about how great he was, then he was reminded of what was told him and he lost his mental capacities and was unable to function as a person. After "7 periods of time" one day his capacities came back immediately. He said, "Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, will praise, honor, and give glory to the King of Heaven. Everything he does is true, his ways are right, and he can humiliate those who act arrogantly” Daniel 4:37 (God's Word). Lord, the most powerful people in the world are subject to you, and I ask you to warn me when I have an arrogant spirit.

"Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit" Acts 8:15-7 (God's Word). Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
