Matthew 1:24 (God's Word)

Mary was maybe 15-16 and betrothed, which was legal marriage without consummation, and she was pregnant. No one would believe how it happened, and she must have been overwhelmed. God had put her in this situation, and it would seem from her point of view that there was no possible outcome that would be good. But God sent an angel to tell Joseph the truth. "When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the LORD had commanded him to do. He took Mary to be his wife" Matthew 1:24 (God's Word). Problem solved. Lord, when things seem impossible to me, remind me of this story and your power to do anything.

"Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit" Acts 8:15-7 (God's Word). Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
