Matthew 1:3 (God's Word)

I was reading Matthew 1:3. "Hezron was the father of Ram” (God's Word). I am wondering what this guy did, so I look up his name, and it is mentioned 21 times and every one is in a list of names like this. When I type it here, it is underlined as if it is not spelled correctly. A "nobody" whose only claim to fame was that he was an ancestor of Jesus.  He and all the people who knew him when he lived, never knew the real value of his life. We may never know in this life the real value of our lives to God or his kingdom. Lord, guide me and help me to be faithful that my life will fulfill the purpose you have for me.

"Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
