1 Corinthians 16:8-9 (God's Word)

It always startles me to be reminded that there was opposition to Paul, whose words are Scripture to me. "I will be staying here in Ephesus until Pentecost. I have a great opportunity to do effective work here, although there are many people who oppose me" I Corinthians 16:8-9 (God's Word). It gives me great comfort to realize that in all the trouble Paul had God worked his will to make sure that the truth won. Paul's opponents are gone and forgotten, but the work of Paul stands. Lord, in all the uncertainty and confusion, give me wisdom to obey you, knowing that nothing or no one can stop you.
