1 Peter 1:22 (God's Word)

In the Bible love is not an emotion. It is self-denying sacrificial service to others. "Love each other with a warm love that comes from the heart. After all, you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth. As a result you have a sincere love for each other" I Peter 1:22 (God's Word). When we reject our self-directed life and submit to God's control of our lives, then we are cleansed of all unrighteousness. Christ now controls us, and we can love others as he has loved us. Lord, guide me to obey you so that I will be a servant to everyone that I interact with today. By meeting me might they know a little bit of what you are like.
