Genesis 27:41 (ESV)

When their twins were born, Isaac loved Esau and Rebekah loved Jacob (Genesis 25:28), and this conflict between parents contributed to conflict between sons, which resulted in disaster. "Now Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him, and Esau said to himself, 'The days of mourning for my father are approaching; then I will kill my brother Jacob'" Genesis 27:41(ESV). God promises that if we submit to his authority, he will make a man and woman one in marriage. Lord, teach me to conform to your will that you would continue to make Carol and myself one, bringing honor to you.
