Exodus 8:8.15 (ESV)

God sent a plague of frogs on the Egyptians to show them that he was the ruler of the universe and to get Pharaoh to honor him. "Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and said, 'Plead with the LORD to take away the frogs from me and from my people, and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.'...But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite he hardened his heart and would not listen to them, as the LORD had said'" Exodus 8:8,15(ESV). Sometimes people turn to God when they are in trouble and make promises to obey God, but when the trouble is over, they forget the promises. Lord, reveal to me my motives. Do I do what I do because I acknowledge you as Lord of my life or to get your blessings?
