Leviticus 19:15-16 (ESV)

We all make judgments about people, but God has limits for his people. "You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor. You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the LORD" Leviticus 19:15-6 (ESV). God is fair to all people and demands that of us. The presidential race is starting, and millions of dollars will be spent to slander people. When we repeat these things without checking to see if they are true, we violate this command. The follower of Christ will treat every candidate with respect because God does. Lord, show me how to disagree with a politician without attacking them or their character.
