Leviticus 23:19 (ESV)

God has promised his people that he would provide for them. "You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then you shall present a grain offering of new grain to the LORD" Leviticus 23:19 (ESV). When God provides for his people, he wants them to acknowledge that he has kept his promise to provide. Giving an offering from our income is our acknowledgment that God has provided for us as he promised. Lord, remind me every time I give an offering that you own everything and what I have is a gift from you and I can depend on you to provide for all my needs.
