Zechariah 14: 9 (God's Word)

The world started with two people and God in complete control, and then chaos. Ever since that day God has been at work to restore what was destroyed. This is what he is doing. "The LORD will be king over all the earth. ON that day the LORD will be the only LORD and his name will be the only name" Zechariah 14:9 (God's Word). It may not look like much is happening, but estimates are that thousands daily are becoming followers of Christ (estimate vary 82,000-175,000 daily, even 10,000 per day in China alone). Lord, help me be daily working at making disciples that I might be a part of what you are doing.

Acts 8: 15-17 (God's Word) Originally published 12/27/2013 The apostles realized the Holy Spirit was essential for the Samaritans to live in obedience to Christ. "Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit. (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit" Acts 8:15-7 (God's Word). Lord, I ask that your Holy Spirit guide me in all that I think and do.

Mark 14: 57-61 (God's Word) Originally published 10/26/2013 "Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, but their statements did not agree. We heard him say, 'I'll tear down this temple made by humans, and in three days I'll build another temple, one not made by human hands.' But their testimony did not agree even on this point. So the chief priest stood up in the center and asked Jesus, 'Don't you have any answer to what these men testify against you?' But he was silent" Mark 14:57-61 (God's Word). I can't imagine the pain of being scourged or nailed to a cross, but I do know what it is like to have people say things about you that hurt.
