Zechariah 4:6-7 God's Word)

Zerubbabel was given the enormous task of rebuilding the city of Jerusalem and the Temple. He and the people returned from exile and started with tremendous enthusiasm, but soon realized that the job was too big for them, got discouraged and abandoned their work. A messenger of God brought this message: "This is the word the LORD spoke to Zerubbabel: You won't succeed by might or by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Armies. What a high mountain you are! In front of Zerubbabel you will become a plain" Zechariah 4:6-7 (God's Word). So many things are impossible with human wisdom: marriage, raising children, holiness, making disciples, but with God's wisdom and power they are done. Lord, my inadequacy is so overwhelming. Teach me to live dependent on you.
