Genesis 7: 1-3 (ESV)

God does not need us to do what he wants, but he chooses to use us as a part of his plan and work. "Then the LORD said to Noah, 'Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and its mate. and seven pairs of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of the earth'" Genesis 7:1-3 (ESV). The things God does are purposeful. He could have recreated all the animals and birds as he did at first. He chose instead to have an ark built and include humans in his work. God does not need us to do anything, but he chooses to allow us to participate in what he is doing. What an astonishing thing that God wants me to assist him! Lord, is there something that you want to do today that I can help you to do? Show me what it is, and I will try to do my best to obey
