Exodus 12:27 (ESV)

God told Pharaoh that if he did not let the Israelites leave, the first born of all the people and animals would die, but Pharaoh did not believe it. "At midnight the LORD struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of all livestock" Exodus 12:29 (ESV). We look at Pharaoh and think that he was stupid. But almost everybody knows about Hell and judgment; yet they don't think that God will send them there, even though he has made it clear that everyone who does not submit to live under his authority will be sent to Hell. Lord, give me a passion to tell people the truth about what is coming. Guide me to those you want to warn, and give me boldness to speak to them.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-15 (God's Word) Originally published 04/12/2014 This is how we are to treat fellow followers. “We encourage you, brothers and sisters, to instruct those who are not living right, cheer up those who are discouraged, help the weak, and be patient with everyone. Make sure that no one ever pays back one wrong with another wrong. Instead, always try to do what is good for each other and everyone else’ I Thessalonians 5:14-5 (God's Word). Lord, lead me to do at least two of these today.

Colossians 4:2-4 (God's Word) Originally published 04/08/2014 Our spiritual condition is far more important to God than our physical condition. "Keep praying. Pay attention when you offer prayers of thanksgiving. At the same time also pray for us. Pray that God will give us opportunity to speak the word so that we may tell the mystery about Christ. It is because of this mystery that I am a prisoner. Pray that I may make this mystery as clear as possible. This is what I have to do...Epaphras, a servant of Christ Jesus from your city, greets you. He always prays intensely for you. He prays that you will continue to be mature and completely convinced of everything that God wants" Colossians 4:2-4,12 (God's Word).  Lord, thank you for giving me opportunities to speak your message this week; show me how to make it clear, and help me to grow in maturity and convictions of what you want.
